Back Inn Cafe

But Katy, Mom won't drink gin even in 104 degree weather. But she let me order wine. The Back Inn Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Chattanooga.

I would get a little homesick whenever you write about going to Chattanooga if you didn't throw in the weather report. Instead they remind me why I moved to New England, where autumn starts in mid-August and it's front page news if the temperature gets above 85.

Your mother looks great in pink, iced tea is a cooling drink, you certainly didn't wear mink, not in the heat, but what did you (all) have to eat?

Links I thinks.

Marie: I stopped by your mom & dad's house today with Gwen. But Susan & Our Franklin weren't around–they were taking Lucy to college!! It IS hot here, but not as humid as it often is. Hot is fine with me if the humidity is reasonable.

Barbara: I don't know where that necklace came from. But when she saw mine, the s.hero one, she said she really liked it. I told her I had given her one just like it, and she didn't remember. So I found it in her drawer...she was surprised and didn't remember. She can't remember anything after 4 seconds have passed, but she can remember some things in her childhood. And she can enjoy the moment at hand.

Katy and Sally: We decided we were going to order anything we felt like, no holds barred. When we sat down, they brought out focaccia with sundried tomatoes and white bean dip(?). We both ordered a green salad with tons of candied walnuts and blue cheese. Mom ordered the crab cakes appetizer; and I ordered the seafood ravioli. Amazing.

p.s. We craved a spicy sausage link, but the waiter dropped it down the sink.

Aw shucks. I hate we missed seeing you. But the trip to Knoxville went well. Lucy's anxious about going to such a big school, and she said her roommate snored last night. Hopefully, she'll get adjusted soon. Will you be around for martini's tomorrow? I get off from work at 4.
