Hairdo

© Linda Davick

Tomorrow at 2:30 I have a hair appointment. It's been rescheduled three times and I'm desperate. I want something that cries out Careless Sophistication. Something upswept that doesn't require upkeep. I'll take this photo in for my stylist to use as a guide. (figure on bottom left.)

Good idea to get a 'do out there instead of in TN!

My husband has that same hairdo when he wakes up in the morning, only it comes out of the front of his head and not the back. He doesn't have any hair in the back.

I do not recommend such a 'do for you. I would go for Sophisticated Carelessness instead. Ask for an unkempt, unswept, unchained melody of an updo.

Now where was I? Oh. Happy April 10th.

Is careless sophistication the same with effortless sophistication?

*That model reminds me of Gwen Stefani. (woo-hoo, yee-hoo!)
*Once I went to the hair salon and told the hair stylist, “Un-frump me.” She turned me into a blondie!

I LOVE your rock creations! They are all very cute...especially the the hairdo on this one. I hope you get the "careless sophistication" look you're after!

I agree with Waterfall that these times call for Sophisticated Carelessness of Careless Sophistication! :-) Love her description of an u"nkempt, unswept, unchained melody of an updo". Post photos rapidamente for your fans!

Ciao,
Dee

all great posts! One time I went to get a haircut and the stylist was praying under his breath the whole time he cut my hair. He cut the two sides to two different lengths, then combed the hair over half the front of my face, maybe hoping I wouldn't notice.

Long ago I had a "friend", who was married to a very rich man. She had started out as a hair stylist. Whenever she'd see me, after a long time, she'd always say, "Still cutting your own hair?"

I get hair anxiety whenever I'm about to visit my mother. She's convinced it's the bad haircuts that are making me look older, not the years.

Praying for a lovely do!

Salwood: But I still miss Cecil at the Lion's Den

Waterfall: Thank you for your inspiring words: "Unchained Melody." That's exactly what I was after.

'tude: I'd love to see a photo of you as a blondie.

Emma: Thank you! I visited your blog for a moment and can tell I'm going to need to spend some time looking at drawings.

Dee: OK! There's your photo!

Sally: I once gave my sister a haircut like the one your tricky stylist gave you. And I gave Tom a similar one. I remember when I let him look in the mirror, his picking up the comb and throwing it across the room. Thank you for your prayers.
